"Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God's gifts and shares these gifts in love of God and neighbor." 

This understanding focuses on four themes: Gratitude, Christian, Disciple, and Share. The term, "stewardship" is biblical, recognizing that we are not the owners of our lives but stewards or managers of the gifts we have and share. It is based on the understanding that "all is gift," and that we have a shared responsibility of offering these gifts generously, sacrificially, and proportionately. "Many hands make light work" when we share our gifts together.

Stewardship for the disciple of Jesus Christ becomes "a way of life" that fulfills our baptismal commitment toward the mission and ministry of the Church, giving us confidence and hope in our future. It is demonstrated in the words of St. Paul:

"I am confident in this, that the One who began a good work in you will continue to complete it it until the day of Christ Jesus." - Philippians 1:6

The various works of stewardship are organized and expressed as Five Pillars:

• Hospitality
• Prayer
• Formation
• Service
• Evangelization

The three ways of giving of ourselves in stewardship are:

• Time
• Sharing of our Talents
• Tithing & giving Alms
